Mini home office makeover

Uncategorized

Covid has changed the way a lot of people work and I know so many people who have completely gone from working out of the home from 9-5 to exclusively working from home. Curt has always been able to do some of his work from home in his current job but he was at appointments for several days during the week. When Covid happened, his job was able to shift to completely working from home. This house has a lot more room than our Maryland cottage but it’s still been tricky to find him a workspace because so many rooms in our home are under current renovation.

We have a cozy little spot in our bedroom we chose to make a temporary work space until we can make a more permanent office in our home. Because the space is pretty limited, I needed to find a desk that would look good but also function nicely for Curt to work in.

Walmart Home has so many great Home Decor pieces in their fall look book that you can find here!

I’m partnering with Walmart to show you how easy it can be if you need to create a home office in a small space!

Because I didn’t have a lot of room to do a large desk but still wanted to incorporate some pretty decor, I choose this Better Homes & Gardens Bedford Leaning desk for $89 so there was enough room to work but also to decorate! The desk itself was very simple to put together and the quality is better than I expected!

I have loved adding printed photos to our home since we’ve moved here so I chose two Mainstays frames (one 8×10 and one 5×7) and used Walmart’s one hour photo to print one of our wedding photos for our room. I also loved this beautiful Better Homes & Gardens lamp for $24.99. It has a really nice textured base with a neutral shade, perfect with the wood and white desk. I finished off the space with this adorable gingham pumpkin for fall and a pretty philodendron plant. Walmart Home has so many styles to offer when it comes to decorating your space. My style leans more traditional English cottage so it’s always fun to browse around walmart.com and see how many options are available for making our home beautiful!

The best thing about finding your home items at Walmart are there incredibly low prices. This entire space was created for under $130. I hope you enjoyed this home office project and it will inspire you to create a space that is perfect for you to work in as well!
